My name is Hayden Constas. I'm an electrical engineer with a background in entrepreneurship. I've learned a lot the hard way, and am always looking forward to the next challenge.
I work on embedded systems and IoT—firmware, applications, and hardware—using several languages and frameworks.
I also build and optimize software with C++, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Svelte: web apps, mobile, and backends.
I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and project experience from embedded through web and cloud.

AIAA RC Plane Competition.
Overview
We built a 6ft rc plane and glider from the ground up for the competion. It consisted of 3 main missions:
1- Flying laps under time pressure
2- Optimize Speed and Weight Capacity
Ability to carry extra payloads
3- Deploy an Autonomous Glider
The glider must land at a specific target
Bonus 4- Passing all inspection tests
Our Design Breakdown

Wings.
Carbon fiber spars and balsa ribs provide strength and lightness.
Removable Payload
To simulate removable fuel tanks.

Gut Health Monitor
Started a company that gave dietary feedback from the on toilet sensor.
From user feedback, we changed the form factor several times
with the shown version being an early design.
I had to wear many hats on the project. From the computer to the pitch deck I did consumer outreach,
pitching, science validation, full stack development, and ML.
Home VPN Service
A service that let non-technical people set up a VPN to their home internet connection by plugging in a device and connecting.
Building it meant digging into what makes the internet tick, network protocols, and was made with Netbird as the the underlying infrastructure.
Pipeline Integrity Device
Lead design iteration and testing of an MVP device to retrieve integrity monitoring equipment.
With my co-owner we got the device in the field with Chevron which led to securing $200k in seed funding.
Baby Monitor
Me and our team created a device that detected when a baby's diaper needed changing and would notify the parents. The IoT device strapped to the side of a crib.
While never making it out of the prototype phase it was my first crash course into combining disciplines from biology to web development to hardware.
Power Supply Board
Used Eagle design software to create a power supply board for a PCB design class.
Brokered Aircraft Sales
Brokered for an old VTFF (Vertical Takeoff, Forward Flight)
aircraft design to be sold to OEM aircraft manufacturers.
Got the deal down the line as far as getting in front of the DoD Innovation Unit.
Had to prepare the old files and gather the designs in a cohesive story told to potential buyers.

Robot Creation
Designed and created a robot to use OpenCV on a Raspberry Pi and a PID controller on an Arduino Uno to navigate a maze of ArUco markers.
